At first there were
three of us: all experienced women from the Hamburg area. One day we were all sitting together
and talking about the everyday aspects of life, especially our arduous living conditions, what
with the expensive rent prices of our accommodations and the lack of customers, and we tried
to find a reasonable, long-term solution to our problems.

At some point, one of us asked the
others, Why don’t we just do it together and divide the horrendous costs? And then we could
make our services even more attractive, and each of us would no longer work just for herself. On
the other hand, we also needed an attractive solution for getting more customers, because at
today’s prices it’s no mystery that there can be a lack of customers.
One day, Irene came up with a very good proposition. She joyfully told us that, through an
acquaintance, she had found a super-affordable house with enough rooms that was in the right
condition. And so after this conversation we had over coffee, we went to inspect it and shortly
later came the signed rental agreements.
In the four weeks that followed, as we converted and put the finishing touches on the rooms, we
really did gush about Irenes Geiz several times every day. As we were thinking about the prices
and the name for the house, we almost all said "Geiz is hot!" (Geiz ist Geil!) at once,
and there arose a house for customers with, naturally, an unabashedly low price of €38.50
for each standard shag... The Geizhaus.

A good friend who had a serious
motorcycle accident in Mallorca some years ago found out about our enterprise and offered us his
nightclub in Mallorca, since he himself was no longer in a condition to manage it. At the same
time, he recommended a media agency to us to entrust with our project. With the comprehensive
consultation from our media agency, we finally had complete, all-around support, including a
brand name, protected logo, Internet presence, and various new ideas. Unfortunately, the Geizhaus
on Mallorca will not come into being, due to various reasons.
With such a great demand, we of course don’t just want to stand still and hope to open new Geiz
houses over the course of the next few months in different big cities in Germany, Austria, and
Switzerland, and are therefore always on the lookout for appropriate places to rent, with the
licensees we need for Geiz-worthy conditions ;-).
In this respect, we hope you have a lot of fun with our online offer
